Picture was captured in front of more than hundred years old Banyan (Boharh) Tree, located in the central area of Motian Wali Sarkar, Retla Mandhi Hazro. GHS Hazro also has a largest Banyan Tree of Chhachh valley which fell down and expired by the heavy thunderstorm of 2008. This Banyan tree is characterized by its Aerial prop roots that grow into thick woody trunks which, with the passage of time, can become indistinguishable from the main trunk. The leaves of the Banyan tree are large, leathery, glossy green and elliptical in shape. Like most fig-trees, the leaf bud is covered by two large scales. {04 Pictures},
