The crops of wheat are in full bloom which is produce a great sense of satisfaction among in farmers. It contributes 14.4 percent to the value added in agriculture and 3.0 percent to GDP. Over the past three decades, increased agricultural productivity occurred largely due to the deployment of high-yielding cultivators and increased fertilizer use. Kotkay village has a large land area & majority of the people of this village are farmers who grow crops and all seasonal vegetables.

Kotkay is a small village located between GBC (Ghazi Barotha Canal) and Lawrence Pur road in tehsil Hazro. This little village has four Masjids and two Madrassas. Markazi Jamia Masjid which was re-constructed some years ago look very wonderful & it is indeed one of the beautiful Masjids in nearby villages. Sayyed Phul Shah is the chief Imam of that Jamia Masjid who provides its religious services since 1970. Hafiz Allah Bakhash, Hafiz Waheed, Hafiz Wasiq, Hafiz Waqar Khan are famous Huffaz of this village. {04 Pics},

Kotkay village has been covering 10 Squire Miles area which’s' boundary touches with Jehanian / Lawrence Pur road and Ghazi Barotha Canal (GBC). The Food Storage for cattle in the rounded shape is called locally (Pusarha) which cover the food for year to year after harvesting of Wheat in June ~ July.
