Mominpur / Jalalia: A farmer is cutting Spinach locally called “Palka na Saag” for his home use in his Spinach field located between Mominpur & Jalalia. Palak, Maithi, Sarso, Chinese brand are famous types of Spinach in Tehsil Hazro. Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin C, E, and K, potassium, iron, sodium, folic acid and oxalic acid. It contains more protein than all other vegetables. In Chhachh valley, winter spinach is best when sown in August. Summer spinach can be started in February and needs lot of water. The crop is ready for cutting with in six to eight weeks after sowing which is mostly forwarded to Islamabad, Abbott Abad & Mansehra Vegetable Markets. {06 Pictures},
